Card Collection Pinot Grigio

2007

Vintage
Vintage started two weeks earlier than previous years due mainly to the drought and warm weather. Yields were significantly lower but the quality of the fruit was exceptional. Diversity of regions will stamp the 2007 vintage apart from preceding years.

Winemaking
The grapes were sourced from Hasting Valley, Northern Slopes and Central Ranges. Picked in the cool of the night the grapes were pressed to avoid colour or tannin pick up in the juice and bottled early to capture the intense aromatics and pure fruit characters typical of the variety.

Colour
Medium straw in colour with light green hues.

Bouquet
Distinct varietal aromatics of pear, lime and grapefruit.

Palate
A soft and approachable palate has mouth filing honey and pear fruit balanced by a fresh acidity and zesty lime finish.

Suggested Food
Enjoy with warm roasted squash prosciutto and pecorino salad.

Cellaring
Ready to drink now. Enjoy while young and fresh.

Awards
3 Stars: 2008 Winestate Magazine March/April Issue
